Games play an important part at St Margaret's and the school is fortunate to share a 25 acre site, much of which is given over to sports pitches. All children are encouraged to improve their physical co-ordination and to compete on the Games field with confidence.
Each class has a weekly session in the gymnasium, every child swims at least once a week and team sports are played throughout the school. The main games for the boys are rugby, football, and cricket and for the girls, netball and rounders. All children play hockey. St Margaret's competes with other school in most sports.
Other activities include tennis, cross-
country, athletics, skipping, ballet and
judo. Sports Day is held annually and
is a mixture of track and field events.
